Automotive TechDay EMC
On January 29th, UTAC and Rohde & Schwarz held a Tech Day at UTAC's testgrounds at the Autodrome Linas-Montlhéry near Paris. Following some very interesting talks about the state of the EMC world, we were given the opportunity to present the application of our mk-motion software to monitor DUTs during immunity testing live and in a real EMC lab.
We demonstrated how simple monitoring can be realized with the base version of mk-motion. As an example we had shown how simple it is with our mk-motion to ensure that a telltale stays on for the whole measurement.
More advanced scenarios such as reading a digital speed indicator, which is possible using the Numeric-OCR extension, or measuring the frequency of the turn indicators can be realized using the pro extensions.
As a highlight we demonstrated the possibility to analyze relations between different detectors using the new Combiner extension. Here we could ensure that the front and back turn indicators stayed synchronous during the measurement.
During measurement, the mk-motion software was communicating with Nexio's BAT-EMC EMC-software in a way that any detected violations in the DUT's behaviour were directly integrated into the measurement protocol.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Rémy Perrot, Alexandre Comte and all of UTAC's team as well as Rohde & Schwarz France for the invitation and congratulate to hosting such a wonderful event!
