The most basic version of the mk-motion software allows for simple supervision tasks in up to 4 different regions of interest (ROIs) in a single input video stream. Video resolution can be up to Full HD (1920x1080 pixels) at 30 Hz or up to 1280x768 pixels at 60 Hz. The software can evaluate deviation from constant DUT (= device under test) behavior.

Each of the four ROIs can cover up to a quadrant of the Full HD resolution (960x540 pixels) and handles its own individual supervision task in a processing pipeline. This pipeline is highly customisable and consists of processing steps such as detecting differences in the image content (either frame-to-frame or relative to a reference frame), defining thresholds for pass/fail criteria or DSP-like filtering.
The software allows to record entire mesurements and manual starting/stopping of video recordings (both at the same time).
